Our primary goal at Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center is to provide individualized care to all our residents. Each department within the facility is committed to quality care in relation to their specific objectives and activities to the resident and his welfare.

The care provided to each resident every day should be regarded as a progressive path to greater independency measured according to the residents' needs, goals, and abilities.

It is the function of every department:

  • to provide safe, correct and qualified care to all residents;
  • to make each resident feel that he is respected, admired and that he is our most important concern;
  • to provide for our residents an atmosphere which is warm, friendly and reassuring as well as therapeutic;
  • to follow promptly, accurately and completely the orders of each individual's physician.

Commitment and dedication to these ideals will assure the resident, his family, friends and the community the respect we have for this sacred trust given to us.

The resident and his/her needs are the most important aspect of our duties. The resident is dependent upon us. Our reputation is dependent upon him/her. The resident is not an interruption of our work, he/she is our work!

Achieving Our Mission

In order to provide resident care services appropriate to level of care required by the resident, Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center utilizes several methods:

1. The RCP coordinator in conjunction with an Interdisciplinary Team develops and monitors a care plan.

2. CQI Coordinator, Administrator, and Director of Nursing (steering committee) regularly rate the  performance of each Department in order to achieve the best performance in each area.

3. Quarterly Family Council Meeting evaluates customer satisfaction and ways to deliver better care.

4. Questionnaires are sent to past residents to ascertain customer satisfaction and areas for improvement.

5. Department Head Meetings are held at least monthly to communicate and enable achieving our organizational goals.

6. All of the above mentioned team members and other department directors work together to create a culture that emphasizes open communication and cooperation.
